This Privacy Policy addresses our privacy and information practices for our website and social media (“Online Services”), and rental kitchen facilities (“Facilities). These services are collectively known as the “Services”.

Our Privacy Policy does not govern or apply to information collected or used by Jacuna through other means. It also does not apply to websites maintained by other companies or organisations to which we may link or who may link to us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected about employees, former employees, candidates, contractors, service providers, or business contacts of Jacuna. We are not responsible for the actions and privacy policies of third-party websites.

We are Jacuna Ltd. and affiliates (that’s “we”, “our”, “us”) and operate under the name of Jacuna or Jacuna Kitchens. Our registered office address is 48 Hoxton Square, London, England, N1 6PB. Our company number is 11769766.

What data do we collect?

Online Services

  1. Personal data that you provide. We collect personal data that you provide directly for a business or commercial purpose, such as when you access our website, enter into a contract, establish an account with us, register for an event or our Online Services, enter into any sweepstakes or surveys, or interact through social media outlets in connection with a potential business relationship with us, or by giving us your contact information at various events or online. This personal data may include your name, business name, email and physical address, telephone number, profile, activity and performance information, demographic data such as your gender, age, country and preferred language, payment information, and when necessary, form of identification or other tax related information.

  2. Information that is automatically collected. Through our Online Services, we may collect software or hardware information from you and your device such as your device ID, device type, network information, time zone, operating system version, order printing information, device id location, IP address, and other general system information.

  3. Cookies. We use Session, Persistent and Third Party cookies to track what you’re doing on the site in order to help us improve it and give you a better experience in the future. Facilities

  1. Management and Safety. We collect personal data on incidents and accidents that occur in our Facilities that may include the use of access ID cards, Closed Circuit Television Video (CCTV), video taken from car park security cameras, photographs and pertinent personal information regarding accidents/injuries that may have occurred in our Facilities, and other security measures for your protection.

  2. Third-Party Sources. We may obtain personal data about you from third parties and/or link the personal data we collect from you to additional records made available by third parties. For example, in order to provide the requested services, we receive certain personal data related to kitchen orders.

  3. Professional and Client Relationships. In the course of professional or client interactions involving the licensing of space, we collect personal data about you such as your name, position, contact details, entity name, and other details surrounding the transaction or potential transaction. This includes information that you provide when signing Deposit and Membership Agreements or side letters.

  4. Facility Services. Some of our Facilities may include convenience services such as vendor deliveries, Wi-Fi, or lockers. We collect personal data from you to facilitate the products or services that you request. Please note that these vary by location—check with your Facility to see what services are available and what personal data is required to use those services.

How do we use your data?

We will only use your personal data as permitted to do so by law. The purpose of collecting personal data is to improve and facilitate our Online and Facility Services. We use your personal data in the following ways, which includes but might not be limited to:

Who do we share it with?

  • Any organisation which supports any of our services you use, when they need it to offer those services, including:

    • Xero, our accounting platform, who holds financial details for the purposes of invoicing.

    • GoCardless, our payment processor, who holds details from your license with us in order to verify your payment. These may include your name, ID, payment cards and bank accounts.

    • Re-Leased, our property management platform, who holds details on your license with us in order to start your tenancy.

  • Anyone that you give us explicit permission to share it with;

  • Anyone in connection with any joint venture, merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or to another company;

  • Where necessary, we’ll also share information to comply with regulatory authorities, to enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, and to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our customers or others.

What are your rights?

You have a right to:

  • Access and update some of your information;

  • In some jurisdictions, you may have the right to request copies of personal information, though we will not be able to comply when such requests are manifestly unfounded, repetitive or excessive;

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information;

  • Ask us to delete your data. If you request this, please note:

    • We may retain certain information necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention and enhancing safety. E.g. if we suspend a Jacuna account for fraud or safety reasons, then we might retain certain information to prevent that client from opening another account in the future.

    • We may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations.

    • Information you have shared with others (e.g. reviews) may continue to be publicly visible even after your account with Jacuna is cancelled.

    • Object to us using your data for direct marketing and in certain circumstances ‘legitimate interests’, research and statistical reasons.

Where do we store your data?

Data collected inside the EEA may be transferred and stored outside of the EEA for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. However, we’ll only do this where appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure an adequate level of data protection.
